The complex consists of an historical central market hall (the Schrannenhalle) between two end buildings, one historical, one a new build. The market hall is an indoor extension of one of Munich's attractions, the Viktualienmarkt or open air food market.

The potential purchaser had a short term of exclusivity and required results within a narrow timeframe.

The commission was to provide a detailed analysis of the property as an aid in the decision to purchase. The report pooled the survey results from architect, services engineer and environmental specialists.
