A housing estate in Berlin-Steglitz was acquired by a large German property fund. The complex features three distinct building types from different eras and with differing standards. Many of the attics have not yet been converted, there are few balconies and few elevators.

RBA was commissioned to develop, present and confirm concepts for the modernisation of this complex, including cost calculations and materials to support the investment decision. Concepts were developed after detailed on site and archival study of the existing property, coupled with close attention to the requirements of the conservation authorities and the strategic aims of the client.
