RBA have been commissioned to provide support services to the facility management and marketing team at the former AEG transformer factory (TRO). The listed ensemble in yellow brick consists of a number of wide span works halls with steel truss roofs, ancillary buildings such as disused transformer and boiler houses and a number of office and storage buildings laid out on a 70,000 m² riverfront site in close proxinmity to the centre of Schöneweide. The owners, a group of Irish and international investors, are developing post-industrial uses with a marketing concept to attract cultural-artistic-academic and trade fair businesses to the site. As this development progresses, RBA is providing ongoing technical support from an on-site office. The tasks in hand include preparations for a fashion show in January 2010 in one of the large industrial production halls.
